His two subject choices – Myanmar rural traditional toys and water lily series – are his most popular pieces not only in Myanmar, but also in Southeast Asia. Prior to focusing on water lilies, he did still-life paintings, scenes of social life along the Ayeyarwady River bank, as well as bird’s-eye-view of alms offered to the Buddhist monks of the Amarapura Mahargandaryone Monastery.
