Aye Nyein Myint (b. 1979)

Aye Nyein Myint was born in the year 1979 in Yangon, Myanmar. She graduated with B.A in Painting from the University of Culture, Yangon in the year 2000, after which she has learnt from artist U Win Pe Myint. She has had multiple successful exhibitions from the year 2005 to 2013, and has participated in many group exhibitions both locally and internationally.

Aye Nyein Myint specializes in still life in close-up. She made a name for herself with her art in soft pastel, and later started painting in oil and acrylic. In her artwork, she strives to convey the natural beauty and emotions of viewing simple scenarios such as flowers and objects under light, and transparent objects. Her still life represents the lifelong struggles of people, failure and happiness.
